Working at EPAM Systems was an amazing experience for me where I have been able to further develop my design skills and collaborate with some of the most talented designers I have ever met. When I first started at EPAM I wasn’t sure what to expect since I had never worked for a software engineering company before. Immediately I was pleasantly surprised with how creative and unique all the projects assigned to me were. Whether it was coming up with an icon system for one of their many sub-brands or creating vibrant illustrations for a holiday social media post there was always something new and exciting for me to work on.

Being on a relatively small in-house design team for a company of over 50,000+ employees definitely had its challenges. Strict deadlines and large collaborative projects were definitely daunting obstacles at first. However, this pushed me to become better at communicating with my fellow coworkers as well as a much more organized and concise designer.

EPAM Continuum Icons

I was tasked with creating icons for one of the company’s sub-brands EPAM Continuum. In the design system for EPAM Continuum, a continuous flowing line was used that they wanted to be apparent in their iconography. Creating hundreds of icons using continuous lines definitely was a challenging task but it always was super rewarding seeing how the finished design looked simplified to just a few flowing lines.

Company Holiday Cards

Each year EPAM has custom physical and digital Holiday Cards coworkers can send to one another. My task was to prototype the custom card design process in Figma so that the programming team could build them out on a website. It was especially exciting seeing people create fun and unique designs using the Holiday Card website I helped create.
